Life in Albesta
Life in Albesta Academy is extraordinarily varied. This website attempts to give a flavor of what goes on in our school but our unique atmosphere is best experienced in person.
Our typical school day runs from 7.25am to 2.10pm. The day starts with assembly where every student and staff of Albesta is present. It is conducted by staff and students alike depending on the group on duty.
Students are allowed to buy snacks and other refreshments from the tuck shop during break and all students are entitled to lunch in the school dining hall. Boarding school in Albesta is home away from home hostels with zero-tolerance to bullying, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious air-conditioned rooms, good bunks, water-heaters etc. Boarders are allowed to contact their parents through the hostel staff. They are also allowed to visit their children during the Visiting Days which come up every third Saturday of the month.
The students are served sumptuous and balanced meals to keep them healthy, thereby preventing illness and allowing the students to maximize their time in school for academic activities. In case of illness or any other health emergencies, Albesta Academy has a well equipped sick bay manned by a qualified and experienced doctor, matron and her assistant.
Boarding at Albesta Academy promises to be a fun and exciting time for every student. We have exceptional hostel facilities to cater for our students' comfort and overall well-being. We have purpose-built dormitories with mosquito net, clean conveniences and bathing and laundry facilities in the hostel. A modern kitchen and dining facility is provided, offering well planned balanced meals, including fruits in season, prepared by trained caterers and other culinary experts.
There is a good security network, with capable and committed house parents. Prep. periods are well supervised in line with our vision to build up a reading culture in our students. We enjoin you to seriously consider the benefits of enrolling your child/ward as a boarding student. Our boarding is unique and outstanding in many ways: the kind of holistic education we impart is second to none. The spiritual edification, good morals, pastoral care received from God-fearing house parents and teachers, make our students to stand out among their peers.
